Fly to Delhi
Arrive in India’s bustling capital, Delhi. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is yours to relax or begin exploring. - 2
Explore Delhi
Begin in the vibrant heart of Old Delhi, passing the imposing Red Fort and entering the magnificence of Jama Masjid. Ride on a traditional rickshaw through Chandhi Chowk’s fragrant spice markets before tasting a range of tasty street foods. Cross into New Delhi, driving past iconic landmarks like India Gate and Parliament House, pausing at Gandhi Smriti. This afternoon, admire the Mughal architecture of Humayun’s Tomb. - 3
Train to Agra
This morning, visit the golden-domed Sikh temple Gurudwara Bangla Sahib then, after lunch, board a train to Agra. On arrival, wander the Mughal garden of Mehtab Bagh; directly across the river from the Taj Mahal, it offers magnificent views of this most magnificent building. - 4
Taj Mahal
Spend the morning viewing the Taj Mahal, following pathways through the gardens to enjoy it from all angles. Considered one of the world’s most beautiful buildings, learn more about the story behind its construction and enjoy the way its façade reflects the moods of the sky. Later, visit Agra Fort and take a tour of colonial Agra. - 5
Travel to Jaipur
Travel by road to the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur, capital of the vivid state of Rajasthan. Later, after some time to relax, visit a block printing workshop to learn more about this centuriesold craft. - 6
Explore Jaipur
Start the day as the magnificent, hilltop Amber Fort, strolling through courtyards and admiring the famous Hall of Mirrors. Back in the city meet local artisans for a pottery workshop and gem-cutting demonstration. This afternoon is at leisure. - 7
More Jaipur
Explore the City Palace and the fascinating Jantar Mantar with its 18th century astronomical instruments. Visit the Elephant Poo Paper Workshop, where artisans are turning elephant dung into eco-friendly paper; join them and create you own sheet to take home. - 8
Fly to Goa
Bid farewell to northern India and fly with the rest of your group, south to the paradisical beaches of Goa, known for its alluring blend of Indian and Portuguese culture. Meet your guide and embark on a tour of Old Goa city, visiting colonial sights like Se Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus before discovering the bustling Panjim City and taking a walk through the vibrant Latin Quarter. - 9
Goa at leisure
Days 9–12The next four days are yours to spend relaxing at the resort, on the beach or exploring independently, with no further escorted touring involved. You’re staying right on Cavelossim Beach, known for its pristine white sand scattered with black lava rocks. For those who want to explore more, try a peaceful river cruise or a visit to local villages where you'll find historic churches and local markets. - 13
Depart Goa
Days 13–14Transfer to the airport and fly from Goa home to Australia, arriving home the same or the following day.
