Passports

All Australian citizens require a full passport for all international travel, and your passport should generally be valid for at least six months after the date of your scheduled return home, as many countries require this. If you’re not an Australian citizen, other regulations may apply to you and you should check with the nearest embassy of the country you intend to visit. Please note that for certain trips, we will require your passport details prior to accepting your booking. Furthermore, if you renew your passport after you have booked, it is important you advise us of the new details as soon as possible. You may be required to take your old passport with you to maintain the validity of the trip.

It’s important that you provide your full name as per your passport or ID when making a booking with your Travel at 60 consultant.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended that you are adequately covered by insurance for the duration of your travel arrangements. We recommend that you take out a policy as soon as you pay your deposit. Please note: If you plan to use the travel insurance offered by your credit card provider, make sure you investigate the policy’s inclusions and conditions fully to ensure they are suitable for your itinerary. You should receive a policy number, an international access phone number to contact it on in an emergency and a copy of the policy conditions.

Visas

It is your responsibility to check and obtain any visas required for your destination(s), including transit visas. Visa and entry requirements vary by nationality, destination and itinerary, and can change without notice. Please refer to www.smartraveller.gov.au or contact the relevant embassy or consulate directly to confirm the requirements applicable to you. Travel at 60 does not provide visa advice and is not liable for any cost, delay or denied travel resulting from a failure to obtain the correct visa or documentation.

Medical information

Travel at 60 does not give specific health advice, but we do recommend you see your doctor six to eight weeks prior to travel for advice and to allow time for any necessary vaccinations. Please remember to take your itinerary with you.
