    Zürich and Lovely Lucerne

Welcome to Switzerland. Upon arrival at Zürich Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Lucerne. Stroll through the charming streets and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the lake and majestic mountains. In the evening, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a light dinner and drinks.
  2. 2

    Lucerne and St. Moritz

Begin your day exploring Lucerne, a captivating 14th-century city still protected by medieval fortifications. Your Travel Director will highlight the city's treasures, including the iconic covered wooden bridges, intricately painted gables, and the famous Lion Monument. Enjoy free time to discover Lucerne's excellent shops or take a leisurely lakeside walk. Later, embark on a scenic journey along the dramatic Walensee, passing through the historic town of Chur to reach the fashionable ski resort of St. Moritz, located in the Engadine Valley and twice host to the Winter Olympics.
  3. 3

    St. Moritz at Leisure

This day is entirely yours to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps start with a leisurely breakfast before exploring the chic resort's spa quarter, known for its luxurious wellness facilities. Admire the traditional sgraffito plaster-coated facades that adorn many of the local buildings. If shopping is on your agenda, St. Moritz's stylish boutiques offer high-end fashion and unique local crafts. Alternatively, take an epic rail journey over the Bernina pass, which runs through a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering breathtaking views of alpine landscapes.
  4. 4

    Scenic Rail Journey

Enjoy a spectacular ride through the heart of the Swiss Alps, with lunch included. The panoramic journey descends through the tunnels of the Albula Pass and traverses the stunning Landwasser Viaduct. As the train joins the broad Rhine Gorge, it meanders beside rock-strewn rivers, climbing through snowy pastures and woodlands. After spiralling to the highest point of the route, the icy Oberalp Pass, you'll descend to Andermatt. Grindelwald at Leisure

Enjoy a full day at your leisure to explore Grindelwald, a charming village nestled in the Bernese Alps. Travel at 60 Social Getaways

Travel further when you're not travelling alone

Our Social Getaways are small-group holidays designed especially for over-60s Australians who want the freedom of a great trip without the work of planning every detail. A Travel at 60 host travels with the group, the operator handles the logistics, and you get to focus on the bit that matters — the people, the places, and the stories you'll bring home.

Open to solo travellers too. Many of our travellers book on their own and find their feet quickly in a friendly group of like-minded Australians. Reduced single-supplement options are available on most departures — ask one of our consultants and we'll talk you through what's offered on this trip.

  • A friendly Travel at 60 host — an Australian face on the ground, looking out for the group from day one.
  • Curated local guides & boutique suppliers — the same operators we'd book for our own families.
  • Real itineraries, not whirlwind tours — comfortable transfers, breathing room, and the “off the beaten track” stops the big bus tours skip.

Want to talk it through? Call 1300 414 198 7 days a week, Queensland time, and one of our consultants will walk you through it.
